Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
Effective date: November 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Travel Bag Tours (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit travelbagtours.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Travel Bag Tours is a free online travel magazine. You can reach us through our contact page for any privacy question.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and the interests you choose. If you use our contact form we collect your name, email address and message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit.
- Information stored in your browser. Features such as Saved trips and the newsletter pop-up remember your choices on your own device (see our Cookies Policy). Saved trips never leave your browser.
3. How we use information
- To send the newsletter you asked for and to personalise it by your chosen interests.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To understand how the Site is used, fix problems and improve our guides.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (newsletter), our legitimate interests (running and improving the Site, security) and legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site, such as web hosting, email delivery, analytics and security providers, and only as needed to provide their service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Analytics, ads and third-party content
We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand traffic. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and may show images and links from third parties. These providers receive technical information such as your IP address and are governed by their own privacy policies. If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, we will update this policy and disclose them.
6. How long we keep information
We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe, contact messages for as long as needed to respond and keep records, and analytics data for the period set in our analytics tools. We then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK or California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in every email.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Links to other sites
Our guides link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.
